TO OUR READERS

WE take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed and prosperous New Year and also thank our many friends for the kind greetings received. May the Lord grant us the spirit of grace and supplications in these times of war. And, as swift death and sudden destruction are being poured down upon mankind everywhere through their own inventions of the airplanes, as the results of war and in consequence of our sins, may we be brought to realize the vanity of our life, how vain it is, and be turned into a praying nation and people, churches and families.

Beloved friends, our might and power unto victory does not consist in hosts of man-power neither in implements of war and especially not in working a seven-day week schedule, but alone in the God in whom we trust. He only is mighty and able to deliver us and our loved ones from the unmerciful tyranny of our enemies. For that reason, let us bow our guilty heads in shame at His mercy seat, confess our guilt, turn from our wicked ways, and implore His grace that we may truly repent with all our heart before Him. There indeed is all our strength for this life, and even a sufficient strength to deliver us from that eternal death and destruction which reign over us by virtue of our fall in Paradise. Therefore, fear not man who can only destroy the body but rather fear God in heaven who has power to destroy both soul and body and to cast both into everlasting perdition. Seek Jesus, seek Christ and His righteousness for then only you shall do valiantly, only then when you find Christ you will indeed find eternal life for He is the only Captain of Salvation who leadeth every quickened and truly sincere sinner into complete and perfect victory over sin, death, hell and destruction, and brings every one of them safely into the everlasting arms of God as their Father in Him, through the invincible operations of the Holy Spirit.
