Calls Accepted

After being without a minister for 59 years, the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Sheboygan, Wisconsin was gladdened with the tidings that Rev. L. Kieboom of Norwich, Ontario, Canada accepted the call extended to him to become their pastor. It is hoped that this move will be in the favor of the Lord.

Installation of Rev. C. Harinck

The Lord willing the installation of Rev. C. Harinck as pastor of the Franklin Lakes Congregation will take place Wednesday evening April 14, 1971. The moderator Rev. W. C. Lamain will officiate at this service.

The following evening April 15, 1971 Rev. Harinck will preach his first sermon to his new congregation.

Classis Mid-West

Classis Mid-West will convene on May 5, 1971 in the Church at Vineland, Ontario. Rev. L. Kieboom will conduct the prayer meeting on the previous evening May 4, 1971.

Ailing Ministers

Rev. J. Van Zweden is feeling some stronger, while Rev. M. Romeyn is very weak. May the Lord remember these brothers and strengthen them by his almighty hand and uphold them with the consolation of the Holy Spirit.

Churches in the Netherlands

The retired minister Rev. A. de Blois died at the age of 83 years in Dordrecht the Netherlands on February 4, 1971 and was buried on Tuesday February 9, 1971. At the funeral service Rev. D. Hakkenberg spoke from his text found in Col. 3:3.

Rev. K. de Gier, Rev. G. Schipaanboord and Rev. H. Rijksen also spoke a few comforting words to the family and to those who were gathered in the church and at the cemetery.

The Lord has delivered Rev. de Blois out of the strife of this life, and given him the desire of his heart, to glorify the Lord forever.
