ANCASTER ONTARIO CONGREGATION INSTITUTED

On January 8 of this year the branch church at Ancaster was instituted as a congregation, in accordance with a decision of the latest Classis, and the chosen officers were installed. On Tuesday, March 11 the new church building was dedicated. All this was done under the leadership of the moderator, Rev. A. M. Den Boer of Norwich. Perhaps in the next number of our paper we may have a report on this.

May the truth as it is in Christ Jesus reign in the young congregation, and their love for the truth bind the members together. May the Lord with His Holy Spirit dwell in this church building, so that the true church, that is the elect, may be brought in by means of the preaching and reading services, and that the poor people of God may find nourishment here.

Because we had Prayer Day services scheduled in our own church on March 12, and in Kalamazoo on March 13, it was impossible for me to attend the dedication service. We wish the congregation and the consistory God’s blessing for the future.
