THE REV. WILLIAM SUYKER

On January 16 Rev. Suyker underwent an operation. He had had back trouble for a long time. The doctors decided to place a plastic disk in his back. May the Lord graciously strengthen him, return him to his congregation in Rock Valley, and sanctify all the trials to the honor of the Lord and to the welfare of his soul.

Dear Friends:

On December 8, 1975 our barn and hay was destroyed by fire. We have lost all our equipment, but are very thankful our cows were saved.

We are not looking or asking for any financial assistance, but we are looking for the following used equipment:

1) Jamesway stanchions

2) Jamesway drinking cups

3) Jamesway shuttle stroke

4) pipeline milker

If you know of any of these items available please contact Jake or Rin Van Peenen at (201) 694-2551 or write us at the above address.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

Very truly yours,

J. Van Peenen

CHOTEAU

The classis was requested on October 8, 1975, to examine one of the elders of the Choteau congregation and to ordain him as a missionary. The Classis had no authority to fulfil this request. After a very serious discussion, the Classis requested the elder to refrain from preaching in the Choteau congregation immediately, and to send a letter of apology to the Rock Valley Congregation for having spoken before the Rock Valley Mount Zion Church.

The consistory of Choteau then asked for a few days to consider this decision. The reply was made after two days that they would continue.

By so doing, the Classis, with deep regret, had to declare that the Choteau congregation had cut themselves off from the Netherlands Reformed Denomination.
