NEED FOR REFORMATION
We have often been admonished
For our world conformity.
Would it not be a great blessing
If a change we now would see?
Gradualy our separation
From the world disappears.
Lets examine for a moment
This great cause for grief and tears.
As we start our work on Monday
Do we seek God's will in prayer?
Or is gain of earthly treasure
Central in our toil and care?
As we sit in church on Sunday
Do we pray that we'll be blest?
Do we come to show our clothing
And to see how others dressed?
As the minister is preaching
Pointing to salvation's way
Are we busy buying, selling
Planning what we'll do next day?
Ladies, is your dress reflecting
Modesty in every wise?
Why expose what God has covered
When man fell in Paradise?
Likewise let your face be honest;
Void of paint, from powder free;
Not as Jezebel who perished,
Esther chose simplicity.
Youth, especially, heed the warnings
Given time and time again!
Do not go to worldly places;
Flee from every form of sin.
Lord wilt Thou yet grant revival
Turn our waywards hearts to Thee.
Lead us by Thy Word and Spirit
To the Hill of Calvary.
