7 minuten leestijd Arcering uitzetten

Welcome to our new members: Emma & Janna Bakker, Riley Blom, Karlyn Bouman, Devin Breman, Jesse DeKorne, Lynette & Vincent deKruyf, Tyler, Nicholas, & Noah DeVries, Michelle Driesen, Shawn Engelen, Rebekah Korevaar, Deanna & Kayleen Les, Tamara Moens, Erica Schortzman, Brandon Slingerland, Aaliyah Timmer, Nathan Vogelaar, Noah Vries, and Melissa Wynia.

I’d like to clarify that I’m only able to send welcome envelopes to members beginning for the first time, and that names take two months to appear in the list. I’d love to send an envelope to all of you, but that is not possible. I am counting up the quizzes you send towards your first gift, though. I’m so happy to hear from you all each month!

Thank you for sending me your address. After the first time, you do not need to write down your address again as I will have it recorded in my list. It is wonderful to receive all your mail! I hope the Lord will bless His holy and precious Bible to our heart.

Love,
Aunt LenaBeth

Kayleen Les

do have a dauhter your age, Kayleen. Her name is Rachel I work on The Banner of Truth quiz section about six hours a week. I’m glad you decided to send in your answers this time. Thanks for telling me all about your family and farm. I’m so sorry to hear thar your Opa passed away in January. I’m sure you miss him. What a wonder it is to be able to believe that he did not die without hope. Then it is not quite as sad because your Opa may be eternally happy.

Mariyn Heger

Don’t worry. Marilyn, I didn’t miss your name; just look for it in this issue, okay? How was your babysitter course? It is good to know all about taking care of children, their safety, first aid, and how to handle their behaviors, right? When you asked about looms, did you mean the rainbow looms on which you can make elastic bracelets? Yes, we do have one of them. Do you like doing that?

Courtney Van Maren

What a happy phone call that must have been, Courtney, when Jenna called and surprised you! Will she be going to school with you? Before you know it, school will be over for the year. Hopefully by now you are able to do all the things you were looking forward to doing in the warmer weather. How is your book coming along? What is it about? It would be so exciting to print a book someday; keep writing—the mere you do, the more you will improve.

Arielle Van Deuveren

Thanks for your note, Arielle. I hope we will learn from the puzzles together, and I’m glad you enjoy them.

Adrianna, Joseph, & Serena Byers

Snow days are fun, aren’t they? I hope you won’t have to go to school in the summer, either. What were you playing in the snow? Did your goats have their babies? What did you hear in church on Prayer Day? It is so important to remember that we need to pray for all our needs and that the Lord alone is able to grant a blessing on all that we do. Above all, pray for a new heart, every day. I am so excited and happy for you all that you hope to have a new baby brother or sister if all goes well. When you pray in the morning and evening, you may ask the Lord to make everything well for your mom and new baby. In Psalm 139, the psalmist writes how wonderfully the Lord made him, watching over him even as a very small baby.

Johnathon Heger

How was your trip to Alberta, Johnathon? Thirteen hours can be a long drive, but it is worth it when you arrive and see family you haven’t seen in a long time, right? How many houses are they building in your neighborhood? There is a very special house to which you go each Sunday, that is, church. In Psalter 421, the psalmist sings, “One day, passed in Thy house of praise, is better than a thousand days spent in the realm of earthly splendor.” He loved that house of praise so much. Do you listen in church? I hope so!

Jessa Rus

Thank you for your note and picture, Jessa. Do you like playing with your baby sister? Do you help take care of her? There was a big sister in the Bible who watched over her baby brother as he floated in a basket on the water of the river Nile. Do you know her name? She tried to watch the baby, but was actually the Lord who took care of him and made everything well, right?

Deanna Les

What is your rabbit’s name, Deanna, and what breed is it? How was your trip to visit your brother in Alberta? Did the long road trip go well or did you get car sick? I’m glad to hear of another book writer. I think quite a few of you girls like to write. What are you writing about? Yes, I do like to read. What do you like to read? Have you read The (Little) Pilgrim’s Progress? You can learn so much about the life of God’s children by reading this book. The Lord takes care of pilgrim travels on the way to heaven the whole way.

Janna Bakker

Thank you for joining us, Janna. What is your miniature horse’s came? He must be so cute. I have a little boy age two just like your little boy age two just like your little brother. I imagine Alec knows how to get into two-year-old trouble and be stubborn sometimes, but I’m sure he is also a bundle of fun and cuddles and cute moments, right? What do you like to learn in school? Do you have a favorite Bible story? Do you know the story about two brothers named Andrew and Peter? Andrew was so happy when he found Jesus that he quickly ran to tell his brother about him. They wanted to be with the Lord Jesus and listen to what He would say. Do you like to listen in church?

Tamara Moens

Hello, Tamara. I look forward to receiving your answers each month, the Lord willing. I remember your older sister’s name. She did the quizzes some time ago, right? Time passes quickly. You are ten already. There is a song which says, “I’m not too young to sin; I’m not too young to die; I’m not too little to begin a life of faith and joy.” Ask the Lord often for this life which seeks and needs the Lord, okay? What did you read during reading week? Yes, all our animals do have names, but our eight chicks have become big chickens which usually are just called “the chickens” in stead of the names we once gave them.

Aaliyah Timmer

You and I certainly do know quite a few same people, don’t we, Aaliyah? I’m glad you plan on doing the Timothy for Young quiz each time. Do you have a favorite Bible story? Which one is your teacher telling about right now? There are so many stories in the Bible, and we can learn from each one. Ask the Lord often if you may receive a heart like some of the children mentioned in the Bible, such as Moses, Daniel, Samuel, and Timothy.
