SHELLY-ANN MOENS — It was good to hear from you, Shelly-Ann. Horses and orcas are both beautiful animals. Horses and ponies can have minds of their own, can’t they? I hope Lady decides to behave for you. I’m glad she is still fun to ride. Your friends’ names are quite familiar to me. It is good that you all do the quiz. I hope it may be a blessing to your heart.

MADELEINE KANIS — Hello, Madeleine. How was your trip to Mexico? What did you see there? Did your little brother have a good birthday? How old did he become? As you may remember, last month’s quiz was about birthdays. I hope that on Christmas Day you may have heard about the birthday of a King, the Lord Jesus. Ask Him to show you your need of that King, okay?

BETHANY KANIS — Fall weather feels good, doesn’t it, Bethany? Did you make big piles out of all the colorful leaves? It must have been fun to jump in them. Now the trees are bare. All the leaves have long ago let go and fallen to the ground. One day, each one of us will have to let go, too, when our lives come to an end. Ask the Lord often if He will prepare you for that day.

GEMMA KRUL — Thank you for joining us, Gemma. You live very far away from me, and I have never been where you live. I have seen pictures, though, and it looks very pretty in British Columbia. I hope you will enjoy doing the quizzes with us and that the Word of God will be blessed to your heart. The Lord is able to use the Word as a light, as we sing in Psalter 334: “Thy Word sheds light upon my path.”

CARLYE KRUL — I’m glad you’ve joined us, too, Carlye. I know how you feel about SarahLynn’s first birthday. My children were also excited when our baby had her birthday. It is so cute to see their bright, wondering eyes as they look at the burning candle and listen to the singing of “Happy Birthday.” I also know just how your mommy feels because I do not want my little girl to grow up, either. Babies are such a blessing, aren’t they?
