Calls Declined

Rev. H. Rijksen, The Netherlands, has declined a call to the Paterson (Haledon Avenue) congregation. Paterson

The roof of the new church building of the Hale-done Avenue congregation has been erected. So far the congregation has been very prosperous in its work. May the Lord’s blessing also be upon this undertaking. Waupun

The Braskamp family was plunged into deep sorrow on Tuesday, August 23. Due to an accident, this dear husband and father was taken away by the cold hand of death in the prime of his life, being only 53 years old. The last years he served the Waupun church as a deacon. This is also a heavy blow for this small congregation. Reverend J. Van Zweden was in charge of the services which were held on Friday, August 26.

May the Lord strengthen the widow with her children and grandchildren, and the congregation. We never know when it will be our turn to leave our earthly abode and under what circumstances. May the Lord teach us all to number our days and to apply our hearts unto wisdom, and that we may become reconciled to God, through Christ Jesus.
