THE CURATORIUM
On Tuesday, June 10, 1975, the Curatorium met in Grand Rapids. All the delegates were present. The chairman, the Rev. W. C. Lamain, opened the meeting and read Psalm 119:33–48. He spoke a few words about verse 33, emphasizing the necessity of the instruction of the Holy Spirit, but also the great responsibility of both the instructor and the student. After a few matters were discussed and a few decisions were made, Mr. Joel Beeke was examined. His instructor, the Rev. J.C. Weststrate, asked several questions about dogmatics, exegesis, Bible history, church history, and archeology. The many questions were answered rightly, showing that the time had been well spent.
The chairman then spoke a few words to the student and his instructor, expressing the wish that the Lord would also make things well during the second year of his studies, and also grant them the necessary instructions from on high. The morning meeting was closed with prayer by the Rev. A.M. Den Boer, and the afternoon meeting was opened with prayer by the Rev. M. Heerschap.
The Curatorium, alas, had no liberty to admit as students for the ministry those who had presented themselves.
May the Lord Himself provide for us in our need, and send laborers into His vineyard. Matt. 9:38.
After the chairman had made a few closing remarks, he asked the Rev. L. Kieboom to offer the closing prayer.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The Rehoboth Reformed School Society of Norwich, Ontario, wishes to express its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Congregation of Sunnyside for the collection held on behalf of the school. A magnificent amount of $1340.00 was collected. May the Lord receive all the honor, for it is He, Who inclines the hearts.
From the congregation of Chilliwack we received a check, which was found in the collection for our school, in the amount of $200.00. Also for this gift our hearty thanks.
When we see the enormous amount of money we need, it feels so good that other congregations are willing to help us.
May we ask you to remember us at the throne of grace, that the Lord may bless this important work for our children, not only in Norwich, but that in many other congregations instruction can be given to the children according to God’s Word and our promise when our children were baptised.
