NATIONAL PRAYER DAY

President Reagan has proclaimed May 2, 1985 to be set aside as our annual national prayer day. At the same time, the Curatorium has requested that our congregations use this opportunity to pray for the thrusting forth of divinely called servants into the ministry of God’s Word and the vineyard of the Church. May the Lord command and add His blessing, graciously remembering both our floundering nation and our numerous pastoral vacatures. May the prayer-giving Jehovah grace us, as He did Habakkuk, to truly pray in our prayers, “O Lord, revive Thy work in the midst of the years; in wrath remember mercy.”

YOUTH CONFERENCE IN ROCK VALLEY, IOWA

The Rock Valley/Sioux Center Netherlands Reformed Christian School will host their annual Youth Day, D.V., on Allgust 17, 1985, commencing at 9:15 a.m. Those wishing accomodations for lodging should contact Elder A. Bakker, R.R., Doon, Iowa 51235 (712-439-1217). May the Lord grant our young people a blessed day as they gather to discuss the truths of God’s Word made applicable to daily life.

YOUTH DAY IN ONTARIO

The Lord willing, we hope to have a Youth Conference in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, on Saturday, the 29th of June, commencing at 9:30 in the morning. It is hoped that many young people from the Ontario congregations, but also from other congregations, will find it possible to attend. Please make these arrangements early, so that plans can be made in advance.
