SARA SCHIPPER — Are there grizzlies in Waterton, Sara? Yes, I have seen bears. Last spring a black bear climbed over the fence into our backyard. A week ago, a big mother bear with her adorable cub walked out of the woods by a lake where we were sitting. She stared at us suspiciously while her furry black baby ambled happily behind her. It was hard to remember that they can be dangerous.

LEAH GRISNICH — Congratulations on the birth of your niece. How is Madison doing? I’m sure she is very cute. You must have liked seeing all your cousins at the reunion. Did you sleep in one of the tents, too? We use tents for camping; soldiers sometimes use them to sleep in, but in Bible times some people always lived in a tent. Can you think of someone who did?

JANNETTE SCHIPPER — I really liked seeing the picture of the fawns in your backyard, Jannette. They are very sweet. God made so many beautiful animals, didn’t He? Is school going well? Hopefully, you were rested and ready to begin again. I’m sure you will do your best. Solomon said, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.”

AMANDA HERFST — You have advanced quite far in piano lessons, Amanda. As the pieces become more difficult, they also become prettier and more enjoyable, don’t they? I’m sure it works out well that you and Wade can do the quizzes together now. I hope that when you look through your Bibles for the answers you will take the time to think about the texts you are reading. Ask the Lord to bless His Word to your heart.

This month’s idea was contributed by Sarah Veldhuizen. I looked at the idea of “floors” to add to the “parts of a home” series myself and found that “floor” in the Bible usually means a threshing floor. Thank you. Cherith Touw, thank you for your idea of doing a series on weather. We have done a puzzle on “rain” but I will certainly give your other ideas some thought. My ideas are piling up; there are so many things to study in the Bible. I also want to thank those of you who sent me drawings and pictures. I really liked all of them. I hope the Lord will bless the words to your heart as you find the answers in the Word of God.

Love,
Aunt LenaBeth
